Nir is a neuroscientist with extensive experience in neurophysiological systems R&D. Nir holds a B.Sc in computational neuroscience from the Bar-Ilan University and carried his Ph.D. at the University College London on electrical based imaging (EIT) of stroke and TBI. Formerly, Nir leads an R&D project of brain stimulation consumer platform for an Israeli system engineering company. Currently, Nir is the CTO of Brainmarc, a start-up company developing closed-loop digital therapy for anxiety.

Zvi Israel is Professor and Director of the Unit for Functional Neurosurgery at Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem. He was a fellow in Functional Neurosurgery at Oregon Health & Sciences University, Portland OR, between 1999-2001. Prof Israel has had an active research collaboration with the basal ganglia laboratory of Hagai Bergman since 2003.

Lior Shmuelof did his PhD in Neurobiology with Prof. Ehud Zohary at the Hebrew University, Israel. He did his postdoctoral training with Prof. John Krakauer and Prof. Pietro Mazzoni at Columbia University, and with Prof. Tamar Flash from the Weizmann Institute, Israel. Since 2013 Lior is a researcher in the department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences at Ben-Gurion University, Israel. Lior studies motor control and motor learning in humans using imaging and behavioral techniques. Lior is the scientific head of the BGU-Aleh Negev translational rehabilitation clinic.

Oren Shriki

Dr. Oren Shriki is the head of the computational psychiatry lab at Ben-Gurion University. Research in his lab uses mathematical analyses of brain activity and machine learning techniques to develop novel diagnostic tools for neurological and psychiatric disorders. The lab also develops computational models of neuronal networks to gain insights into how changes in neural dynamics lead to brain disorders and how neural plasticity may assist in restoring healthy neural dynamics. Another line of research in the lab focuses on brain computer interfaces and neurofeedback.
